Kayla joined us from Parrsboro, NS in 2014. She completed her Bachelor of Kinesiology degree at Acadia University in 2012. Afterward she moved to Toronto, ON to complete the Fitness and Health Promotion program at George Brown College. Kayla’s internships with the Strength and Conditioning department at York University Varsity Athletics and at a private gym and clinic,
Totum Life Science, helped develop her skills in exercise prescription for both fitness and rehabilitation.
She has created and taught periodized exercise programs to a number of differing clientele including elite level athletes, patients with Parkinson’s Disease, Rheumatoid Arthritis, brain injuries, various back and joint problems and countless other musculoskeletal injuries and ailments. Kayla is GLA:D (hip and knee osteo-arthritis exercise) certified, Gymnastics Strength and Conditioning Certified, and Pre-/Post-Natal Exercise certified.
Outside of work Kayla enjoys exercising in a variety of ways, going on adventures with her family, playing softball, and crocheting.
