Terri Kennedy is a registered, dually certified Speech-Language Pathologist (American Association of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology (ASHA) & Speech and Audiology Canada (SAC)). Terri completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in Linguistics/Psychology from Memorial University in 2004 after which she obtained her Master of Science degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Western Illinois University in 2006.
Terri has over 18 years of experience working in both health and education providing services to toddlers, preschoolers, school-aged children, adults, seniors, and geriatric populations. Terri’s professional interests include articulation disorders, voice therapy, stuttering and augmentative communication. Terri has completed specialized training and certifications in JASPER, JASPER- Caregiver Mediated Intervention, Reference and Regulate; Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS), and in apraxia, aphasia, stroke recovery, dysphagia, dysarthria, and treatment for individuals with progressive neurological disorders (e.g., Parkinson’s, ALS).
Terri is the president-elect for the Newfoundland and Labrador Association of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists (NLASLPA). With family centered intervention as a priority, Terri has worked hard to create a positive, inclusive space for her clients.
